Truly a learning experience…
I have to admit I think I may have learned more than anyone in my class. Apparently I am a very good lecturer... ask my kids and wife, they will tell you. Of the many things I learned last night I think the most important is that I am not the source of the knowledge my students need. I am not even the conduit for that knowledge... I am merely the sign-post that helps them get to where they want to go.
My first day of school…
as the teacher! This is a strange switch for me. I am not normally someone who gets nervous... but I can feel the nerves creeping in. It may be more excitement than nerves to be honest... it has been a while since I have gotten to use my public speaking skills.
At any rate I will write again this evening about the experience, what I learned, and what I will be doing differently for Lesson 2.
Cloud Computing Certification

This fall I will be teaching the Introduction to Cloud Computing course at the University of Washington PSE.
This course will deliver a solid understanding of the industry drivers, current challenges, and future landscape of the cloud. Also they will have a solid working knowledge of the deployment and configuration of cloud servers for development and production environments.
